Staples
Material and Sizes
Staples are typically made from steel, sometimes coated with zinc to prevent rusting. They come in various sizes, determined by the length of the legs and the gauge of the wire. Common sizes include:
- 24/6 Staples: Standard size, with a 6mm leg length, suitable for most desktop staplers.
- 26/6 Staples: Similar to 24/6 but slightly thinner, used in some lighter duty staplers.
- 23/13 Staples: Heavy-duty staples with a 13mm leg length, used for thicker stacks of paper.
Usage and Applications
Staples are primarily used for:
- Document Binding: Fastening multiple sheets of paper together for organization and storage.
- Booklet Making: Binding booklets and pamphlets using saddle staples.
- Upholstery and Crafting: Attaching fabrics and other materials in various projects.
To use staples effectively:
- Choose the Right Staple: Select the appropriate size and type based on the thickness of the material being stapled.
- Load Properly: Ensure the stapler is loaded correctly to avoid jams.
- Apply Even Pressure: Press firmly and evenly to drive the staple through the material.
Strip Cut Paper Shredder Machine 8 Sheets
A paper shredder with an 8-sheet capacity refers to a shredder that can handle up to 8 sheets of paper at a time. This means you can insert a stack of 8 sheets, and the shredder will destroy them simultaneously without jamming or slowing down. These shredders are commonly used for home or small office use where moderate shredding needs are common.
Key features to look for in an 8-sheet paper shredder may include:
- Shred type: Cross-cut or micro-cut, which provides different levels of security by cutting documents into smaller pieces.
- Shred speed: How quickly the shredder can process paper.
- Continuous run time: How long the shredder can run before it needs to cool down.
- When paper (or another object) touches the cutting head, a sensor activates and the sharp teeth or knives rotate and pull the paper into their jaws until the paper lies pathetically in pieces in the bin.
